-KNOWLEDGE OF REHAB EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

1.MUST MAINTAIN CURRENT LICENSURE/CREDENTIALING AND REMAIN CURRENT ON ALL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS.

2.  MUST COMMUNICATE AND WORK WELL WITH YOUR FELLOW EMPLOYEES, PATIENTS, CUSTOMERS AND OTHER HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS.

3.  HIGHLY KNOWLEDGEABLE OF EQUIPMENT AND PRODUCT LINE.

4.  MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY OF PATIENT FILES.

5.  PARTICIPATE IN MONTHLY STAFF MEETINGS AND IN-SERVICES.

6.  MAINTAIN A PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE AND ATTITUDE.

7.  MUST BE COMPUTER LITERATE.

8.  HAVE DETAILED KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICARE, MEDICAID AND PRIVATE INSURANCE’S.  

9.  MUST HAVE GOOD TELEPHONE SKILLS.

10.  MUST BE DETAILED ORIENTED AND BE ABLE TO COMPLETE ALL PAPERWORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH ESTABLISHED POLICIES.

11. MUST BE ABLE TO PRIORITIZE VARIOUS TASKS.

12. MUST BE ABLE TO MAKE PROFESSIONAL PRESENTATIONS TO CLIENTS, PEERS AND REFERRAL SOURCES.

13. MUST BE ABLE TO SIT/STAND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.

14. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN A FAST PACED HIGH ENERGY ENVIRONMENT.

15. MUST PASS BACKGROUND SCREENING THROUGH VARIOUS AGENCIES.

16. MUST RECEIVE 2 TUBERCULOSIS TESTS AT HIRE

17. MUST HAVE A CURRENT, VALID FLORIDA DRIVERS LICENSE.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.  THE REHAB TECHNOLOGY SUPPLIER  IS RESPONSIBLE TO THE CEO.

2.  ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION.

3.  UNDERSTANDING OF ELECTRONICS AS IT PERTAINS TO POWER WHEELCHAIRS.

4.  DEVELOP REFERRAL BASE WITH THERAPISTS, PHYSICIANS AND REHAB FACILITIES.

5.  ABILITY TO WORK WITH TOOLS NECESSARY TO ADJUST AND ASSEMBLE REHAB EQUIPMENT.

6.HAS CURRENT KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICARE, MEDICAID, PRIVATE INSURANCES AND OTHER FUNDING AGENCIES TO MAKE APPROPRIATE EQUIPMENT RECOMMENDATIONS COMMENSURATE WITH THE CLIENTS FUNDING SOURCES.

7. AWARE OF THE COST OF PURCHASING PRODUCTS AND DISCOUNT STRUCTURES FROM VARIOUS MANUFACTURERS.

8. OPERATES TO ACHIEVE SALES GOALS WITHIN ESTABLISHED PROFITABLE PARAMATERS.

9. HAS ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO OPERATE ON ADULT AND GERIATRIC POPULATION WITH MINIMAL TO MODERATE SEATING NEEDS.

10. HAS ACQUIRED THE SKILLS TO WORK WITH HIGH LEVEL ADULT AND GERIATRIC PATIENTS WITH MULTIDISCIPLINARY ISSUES.

11. HAS ACQUIRED THE SKILLS NEEDED TO WORK WITH MINIMAL TO MEDIUM NEED PEDIATRIC CLIENTS.

12. HAS THE SKILLS REQUIRED TO WORK WITH HIGH LEVEL AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY PEDIATRIC PATIENTS.

13. CHECKS ALL PAPERWORK BEFORE DELIVERING CHAIR TO MAKE SURE ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE CORRECT, ALL NECESSARY FORMS ARE AVAILABLE, AND ACCESSORIES ARE INCLUDED.

14. CONSISTENTLY RECORDS NOTES IN PATIENT CHARTS REGARDING ALL CONVERSATIONS AND WORK COMPLETED.

15.  OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED, WHICH MAY INCLUDE UNCOMPENSATED ATTENDENCE AT FUNCTIONS DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS.

 

 IN ACCORDANCE WITH OSHA  EXPOSURE GUIDELINES, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT YOUR JOB IS A CATEGORY II POSITION,  YOUR NORMAL WORK ROUTINE INVOLVES NO EXPOSURE TO BLOOD, BODY FLUIDS OR TISSUES, BUT EXPOSURE TO POTENTIAL EXPOSURE MAY BE REQUIRED AS  A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.  APPROPRIATE PROTECTIVE MEASURES ARE READILY AVAILABLE TO EVERY EMPLOYEE.
