We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Customer Service Representative to support our walk-in customers and help them access the medical equipment and supplies they need. This is an on-site, full-time (8-5) position at our Winter Garden Location

  • LEVEL 2 BACKGROUND SCREENING CLEARANCE REQUIRED BEFORE HIRE
  • Candidates must not have any felony convictions to be eligible for employment

$18 - $21 an hour plus benefits

Responsibilities

  1. Stay physically engaged- embrace a physically engaging role involving regular stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching as you assist with equipment and maintain store organization
  2. Report directly to the Customer Service Supervisor and maintain open, effective communication with both customers and team members
  3. Learn equipment and product lines inside and out so you can confidently educate and guide customers
  4. Greet every visitor with a smile and handle all necessary documentation to ensure a smooth experience
  5. Gain expertise in a variety of medical supplies and confidently demonstrate and instruct customers on their proper use
  6. Get hands-on with custom fittings for support hose, braces, orthotics, and more, ensuring each customer gets exactly what they need
  7. Field customer questions and concerns, and either provide accurate answers or guide them to the right source
  8. Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately while delivering friendly service
  9. Interact with customers and coworkers with professionalism, accuracy, and care
  10. Manage all forms and documentation related to orders, deliveries, and pickups promptly
  11. Accept telephone orders from various agencies and customers with attention to detail
  12. Make follow-up calls to verify satisfaction and offer continued support
  13. Keep the store clean, organized, and inviting for everyone who walks in
  14. Replenish sold or used items to maintain a fully stocked inventory
  15. Uphold strict confidentiality on all patient files and information
  16. Submit prior-authorizations accurately and ensure complete documentation for billing
  17. Work with the purchasing agent to keep essential equipment and supplies in stock
  18. Participate in monthly team meetings and training to sharpen your skills and strengthen team connection
  19. Take on other tasks as assigned, which may occasionally include attending events or functions outside of normal business hours

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Medical background preferred
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must maintain a current, valid Florida driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of funding resources as it related to your department, such as, Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, V.A.
  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Must have tb QuantiFERON test or chest x-ray
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a level 2 background screening clearance
